We are proud to announce our participation in the 22nd edition of IFM (the International Forgemasters Meeting) to be held in Milan from 27 to 30 May 2024.
The event, organised by AIM (Associazione Italiana di Metallurgia) and Federacciai with the collaboration of Siderweb the steel community, is one of the most important in the world, dedicated to the open die forging and ring rolling sector, will be attended by leading experts in the most important and topical issues affecting this sector.
Our technical team will be at the event too, with a dedicated booth and a talk by Cristian Viscardi, Technical Manager at Ecotre Valente entitled “Digitalization of hydrogen on forging: from ingot casting to forging and heat treatment using simulation software”.
IFM is a unique forum to meet researchers, qualified technicians and decision-makers; in other words, IFM 2024 is an industry event not to be missed.
The topics that will be covered during the event are:
1. Developments in the global heavy forging industry
2. Green energy (hydrogen production, coal chemical industry and wind energy, etc.)
3. Nuclear energy production (SMR, fusion, etc.)
4. Other product developments in the offshore gas and oil, cylinders, power generation, aircraft, aerospace, shipbuilding and heavy machinery industries
5. Decarbonisation in the forging industry, including energy storage and the environment. Using hydrogen as a fuel
6. Producing green steel
7. Advances in steel production, forging, heat treatment and machining
8. Development of special steels for forged components
9. Simulation, including equipment, processes and Industry 4.0
10. Quality management, including quality control, non-destructive testing and on-line measurements
